    DAN

    A Pinellas County native, Dan was the owner of Sandbar and Grill in St. Petersburg from 2011 to 2018. Dan’s background is the Architectural Coatings industry for 18 years. Life is constantly evolving and he has as well. The love of community and social family has always been important in Dan’s life. He found Kava, Botanical Elixirs, and Teas have amazing feel-good social lubricant effects and it changed his life. A combination of Dan’s traditional bar experience partnered with Botanical Teas inspired him to join Nick and John to create a unique social atmosphere.

    NICK

    A Pinellas County native, Nick is the original founder of Kava House Brands. Starting with a primary vape business in 2013, he began transitioning into more of a botanical business in 2018. A famously picky eater, Nick formulated the original recipe, using his palate as the tester, to provide a new way to enjoy botanicals: an on-tap refreshment, allowing a greater appeal to a broader audience. From there, Nick discovered the wide variety of products available and made it his mission to help introduce others in the form most appealing to them.

    JOHN

    A veteran and transplant from Connecticut, John chose to pursue a career in emergency medicine to help others. This same passion led him to join Kava House Brands, where he appreciates the natural benefits botanicals can offer. From anti-anxiety and focus to pain relief, his favorite aspect is finding a natural solution at any time of day. Seeking a place to socialize and spend time with others, Johnaimed to create a space for people to gather and relax.

    Kayla, a founding member of Kava House Brand, has been an integral part of our team since 2016, now serving as our store manager. With prior experience at Lizard Juice, she gained insights into the vape industry and honed her patience in customer service. Renowned for her vibrant personality and dedication to crafting exceptional experiences, Kayla infuses our establishment with energy and enthusiasm. Beyond work, she finds joy in crafting, fashion, and exploring new destinations, adding to her dynamic presence both in the workplace and her personal pursuits.

    LYNETTE

    Lynette joined the team in January of 2023 and has since been promoted to Lead Bartender. A native of Pinellas County, she is bilingual. Introduced to botanical teas in 2017, she has been obsessed ever since. She enjoys hearing inspiring stories, connecting with customers, and, of course, making delicious drinks.

    Dave is a St. Pete native, a journeyman machinist, and a jack of all trades. He has been part of the kava community since its early days. Never a big drinker, Dave was drawn to the relaxed vibe and engaging conversations that kava bars offer, quickly making kava his favorite drink. The mellow relaxation it provides suits him perfectly. With a background in BMX, cars, and antiques, he enjoys the diverse mix of kava bar patrons and always finds good conversation.
